Rode Blimp Windshield & Suspension System

The Rode Blimp Windshield & Suspension System is a professional-grade solution designed to provide excellent wind protection and shock isolation for shotgun microphones during outdoor recording sessions. The Rode Blimp features a large, open-cell foam windshield that effectively reduces wind noise and protects the microphone from unwanted environmental noise, such as wind gusts and rustling leaves. The windshield is designed to provide optimal acoustic transparency, ensuring that the microphone captures clear and natural sound even in windy conditions. The Blimp features a Rycote Lyre shock mount suspension system that provides superior shock isolation for the microphone. The suspension system effectively isolates the microphone from handling noise, vibrations, and mechanical disturbances, ensuring that only the desired audio is captured and unwanted noise is minimized. The Blimp's modular design allows for quick and easy microphone mounting and removal. The microphone is secured inside the Blimp using adjustable mounting hardware, ensuring a snug and secure fit. The Blimp also features a quick-release mechanism that allows for fast microphone access and adjustment during recording sessions. The Blimp features an adjustable grip handle that provides comfortable handling and control during recording sessions. The handle can be easily adjusted to accommodate different hand sizes and grip preferences, ensuring ergonomic comfort and stability for extended use. The Blimp features integrated cable management that allows for clean and organized cable routing. The microphone cable is routed through the Blimp's handle and secured with cable clips, preventing cable tangling and minimizing interference with the microphone's performance. The Blimp features a lightweight and durable construction that makes it easy to transport and use in various recording environments. The Blimp's lightweight design reduces fatigue during extended recording sessions, while its durable construction ensures long-lasting reliability and performance in demanding conditions. The Rode Blimp is compatible with a wide range of shotgun microphones, including the Rode NTG series and other popular shotgun microphone models. The Blimp's adjustable mounting hardware and modular design make it easy to accommodate different microphone sizes and shapes, ensuring compatibility with a variety of recording setups. The Rode Blimp comes with a range of accessories, including a fur windjammer for additional wind protection in extreme conditions, a 3/8" to 5/8" thread adapter for mounting on microphone stands, and a handy carry case for convenient storage and transport.
